Josephine Antoine Charles is 52. She has two kids and one grandchild. She was eager to have a new home because she would always send her kids to friends’ homes when it rained. Now, they can remain together during stormy times.
Rosette Jean-Batiste lived with her mother and three kids in a small room made out of boards and tarps with no widows or ventilation. Her mother told us it is a nightmare when it rains. She usually takes care of the kids while Rosette works as a janitor at the school. They were all very excited to sleep in their new home.
