We are jumping for joy and shouting our thanks to the rooftops because we have reached 2-0-0 homes built in Haiti! Your support has helped us to provide safe, secure housing for hundreds of people. Our team continues to build and looks forward to completing another 200 homes.

Homes 197 & 198: Our team built a duplex with a bathroom for Solange Plaisir, who is 52 years old and has two daughters and five grandchildren. One of her daughter lives in Chili and helped her to buy a piece of land two years ago. The other lives in Port-au-Prince. The children live with their grandmother in Mirebalais because the situation is unsafe for them to live in Port-au-Prince. They are so happy to have moved; it’s a new beginning for them.

Home 199: We built home 199 for Amelie Jean and her two grandchildren. Her son died, and her daughter-in-law lives in the Dominican Republic. She sends money to support the children, but they didn’t have enough to build a home. Jimmy, our team leader in Haiti, know Amelia because she is a member of his dad’s church. Amelie and her family left Croix-des-Bouquets due to violence and bought a small piece of land in Mirebalais where we built her home.

Home 200: We built our 200th home for Michelle Guillaume, her husband and her two children. Michelle recently moved from Port-au-Prince to Mirebalais. Her husband helped with mixing and lifting the materials while building the home. He grew up in Mirebalais and inherited this land, so we were able to build a beautiful home for them. He used to work in Port-au-Prince but unfortunately had to leave due to the threat of violence.
