Home 225: Hermaine Joseph and her two children Sandra and Samantha were on the list of people provided to us by the mayor. The recipients of our homes must own the land before we can build. Hermaine was unable to obtain land, which caused a delay. Ultimately, the mayor donated land to her so we could build.

Homes 227–228: Evelyne Noël recently moved to Mirebalais from Port-au-Prince. She is in charge of seven children, four of which are nieces and nephews who came into her care after their parents died last year. The mayor of Mirebalais gifted her a piece of land. Some of the kids are unable to attend school due to a lack of supplies, uniforms, and shoes.

Homes 229–230: We built this duplex for a family of eight, which includes Vanessa Dubrois, her five children, and her three nieces and nephews. We have also begun to help families create a business by giving them $300 to start selling frozen drinks.

Home 231: We built this home for Amira Jean Raymond, her 17-year-old daughter, and her 14-month-old granddaughter. They previously lived in the community shelter in Mirebalais sponsored by the mayor’s office.
